Rock Youth

Rock Youth is the place for teenagers in Grades 7-12 at Rock Church. Our team is committed to building relationships with students to help them grow in their relationship with God.

Are you a student that’s looking to get connected? Or maybe you have a student in Junior High or High School? We meet weekly on Monday nights from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm onsite at Rock Church (222 Sackville Dr. through the Family Life Center Doors).

Each Monday night we gather with our community of students to worship God, disciple our students, and reach their friends for Jesus! Here's what you can expect if you're coming to visit us on a Monday night sometime soon.

Student pick-up

We kick off every night in community together as soon as students arrive. This is a great time for students to connect with their peers, eat great food, and play games!

After that, we gather for our Youth Service in the Mezzanine where we spend time in worship, teaching, and prayer. Every week, we want our students to be challenged by God's word and given an opportunity to respond to what the Holy Spirit is saying.

Trailblazers

Trailblazers is a year-long student leadership experience for grade 9-12 students who are on fire for God and ready to lead the way in their generation.

Practically, the program is made up of 3 core elements: weekly practice-based challenges, bi-weekly digital discipleship groups, and 5 large group gatherings meant to celebrate our progress and inspire us as we continue.

Trailblazers consists of 5 modules. These modules are based on 5 themes that come from Mark 12:30-31: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these."

Module 1: Sept/Oct 2025 → Spiritual Health (Heart)
Module 2: Nov/Dec 2025 → Emotional Health (Soul)
Module 3: Jan/Feb 2026 → Mental Health (Mind)
Module 4: Mar/Apr 2026 → Physical Health (Strength)
Module 5: May/June 2026 → Relational Health (Others)

All particpants will be given the opportunity to serve as student leaders in Rock Kids and Rock Youth.

Our Launch Weekend will be from August 22nd-23rd, as we take time away to seek God together to kick off our Trailblazers Experience.

Alpha Youth Halifax Regional Training

This regional Alpha  training equips and empowers student leaders to start Alpha Youth in their schools.

With a focus on student ownership, these gatherings help young people create welcoming spaces for honest conversations about life, faith, and purpose—supported by local leaders and the Alpha team.
